Without the use of any pre-amp,my WE124b sounds quite natural and nice. With the Music First Audio preamp, it helps to fine tuned and deepened the sound stage without adding any artificial MSG making my listening a pleasure and a leisurely one.

Hi, it is always a pleasure to read your blog about all vintage staff. I'm curious to ask where have you obtain the Western Electric 124b tube amp? Perhaps, i was having in my mind to look after the McIntosh MC275 tube amp, as i am always a fun of McIntosh. May i know how was the actual outcome of the sound reproduction.
