Sonus Faber dream

After using so many speakers, I didn't expect myself to be drawn into the sound of the Sonus. Beside the sound, it's a piece of art as well with 21 layers of lacquer paint while the Cremona has 7 layers.

Object of beauty and desire....

hi francis and happy new year to you and yours
i must confess i neglected your blog lately as you seemed to drift apart vintage hifi - and you are! anyway, i'm glad to see you're still a music and sound lover - whatever vintage or modern hifi gear we're using. to me the music comes first though the pleasure of listening thru beautiful objects of desire tends to enhance the experience. my beloved tannoy canterbury (12" reds) stay my main speakers but i'm looking for smaller units for my office. i have the opportunity to get a nice pair of Harbeth hl p3es-2 - which are a "modern" ls35a type. i wondered if you ever listened to them and had some feedback. now that you're backon the block i'll be around! keep on groovin'<;-phil

Hi!

Thanks for your kind words.

For the smaller speaker, I think you should try some new speakers so that you can compare it with your Tannoy Canterbury Red 12 inch (which I must say is a really good pair of speakers). The modern speakers will give you the dynamism and energy especially when you listen to classical and symphonies..

Just my 2 cents..
