This evening, I took out my Playstation 1 to be used as CD player.
The PS1 is cheap. But the sound is fantastic! For those who want to maximize the return duing these economic crisis can try searching for these cheap cheap PS1 and you will be highly rewarded by the "top loading" "CD" player as the sound is fantastic with good detail resoution and quiet background.
My Playstaion 1 is from the US and its needs to use the 110v converter. Since I have a huge 220v to 110 converter, usage is relatively easy..
I am at the cross road as to whether to get a SACD player as there are many nice classical in SACS format..
