In order to bring the best out of the LS3/5a, these owls are necessary. How? Just by placing these sand filled owls on top of your favourite speakers and you can hear the enhanced sound...
Some will ask if placing heavy magazines or books will have the same effects? The answer is yes, but its ugly....
Some will ask why?
The reason is that the speaker pistons create vibration and Vibration is not helpful for good sound.
Mass will absorb vibration. The owl filled sand will work well... Moreover, adding extra weight on top of your speaker will force your speaker to have firm contact with the ground, therefore grounding the vibration to the floor more effectively.

In addition, I have been busy moving the speakers around to find the ideal placement ( even though there are much limitation of space)...
